Can you write a Reverse Harem Erotic Romance if you haven’t had a threesome?
I’d written and published over 20 erotic romance books, before I got it into my head to write a reverse harem. So how did it go?
What is a Reverse Harem?
A Reverse Harem is an increasingly popular sub-genre of romantic fiction. Whereas a harem consists of one men and multiple woman, so the reverse harem is made up of one women who has multiple male love interests.
What is the premise of your story?
In short, the story is about one single woman, three gorgeous men and five incredibly steamy nights.
The female protagonist, Alice Wilson, is driving home following a family Christmas. The snow if falling thick and fast, and yet she decides to take a questionable detour over the stark, exposed wilderness of Dartmoor. Unfortunately, as the snow piles up and the biting Arctic chill makes the untreated road surfaces utterly treacherous, Alice quickly realises she’s made a terrible mistake. But it’s too late. Moments later, she’s unconscious behind the wheel.
When she wakes, it’s to find herself in a remote cabin, with two of the most breathtakingly handsome men she’s ever laid her hungry eyes on. Once Jay and Tim are content that Alice isn’t injured, they settle down to the business of being stranded and snowed-in together. Until there’s a knock at the door…and that’s when the fun really begins…
Have you got personal experience of having a threesome (or more)?
No I don’t. But as a writer, I am still able to craft a hot, plausible and highly enjoyable story. Others before me haven’t had any experience of attending wizarding school or fighting off alien invasions, but that hasn’t stopped them! As with all my stories, I apply what I do know and combine it with an engaging storyline and a huge dollop of imagination. I might also have watched one or two videos online for inspiration…all in the guise of research, you understand?
